Making the worklog field a mandatory field when switching between two states.

I want the worklog to be mandatory when switching from in progress status to code review status. However, when adding validator parameters in the relevant workflow, the worklog field does not appear in the fields required for the transition. Is there any way to add this?

I found the solution to the problem. When switching between two statuses in Jira, I can add a worklog requirement as follows.

For Jira Cloud;

-Settings -> Issues -> Workflows -> Find project workflow -> Edit -> Diagram -> Click the arrow between statuses -> Validators -> Add validator -> Field Required Validator -> Choose Time Spent -> Add and publish

Hi @Adem Kaya

you might consider using time-tracking apps that in most cases have a customizable report of tracked time on issues.

I can recommend our Clockwork Automated Time Tracking & Timesheets Pro app, which offers built-in validators, and Conditions, which can be used to Prevent Transition if there is no time logged. For details, you can refer to our documentation here.

In case you would have any questions, please let me know.

Best Regards,

Gracjan

Thanks for your suggestion. Our teams check worklog entries regularly. Our only hope is that our reports will proceed more efficiently.

Kind regards,

Hi @Adem Kaya

There is no inbuilt way to enforce the worklog data.

You would need to look at apps such as Jira Suite Utilities to get more field validator options.
