I am working with an external partner and I only want them to have access to certain issues in our JIRA project. How do I customize JIRA to allow specific issue types to be visible to the external partner

Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.
To do this you would need to use issue-level security together with the permission scheme. Note that if you have multiple projects and only want your external customers to see a subset of them, you need to change the permission scheme for all projects.
