Jira Issue Macro - Custom fields with Default text renderer is viewed with wrong text encoding

I'm trying to display a Jira Issue on Confluence (8.5.5) using the Jira Issue Macro.

I have a Custom Field on the Jira Issue with default text renderer. When viewed in Confluence the text encoding is wrong.

'Test åäö' -> 'Test åä&#xF6'

When using the Wiki-style Renderer on the custom field the text encoding is correct.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Could it be related to this issue but on your custom field ?
