Hi There,
It looks like insight customfields cannot be selected as options in the "Fields to monitor for changes" for the "When: Value Changes for" trigger.
Any ideas on when the functionality will be available?
Regards,
Fabian
Hello @Fabian Lim,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Testing on a local site, we were able to select insight fields for the trigger “Field value changed”.
The fields were from the type Asset and Insight objects:
There are some feature requests suggesting this improvement, but it’s from 2018 and 2019, so it might be outdated:
When using the automation, it shows only 50 fields, so it’s necessary to type the name of the field. If the field doesn’t show, can you let us know more information about what fields you need to select?
Kind regards,
Angélica
Good to know. I'm on a 8.5.3 Jira version which may not have the full integration with insight.
Which version are you using?
Thanks,,
Fabian

Thank you for the information, Fabian.
My answer was actually based on the Cloud version because your question was tagged as Cloud.
I tested now on Jira 8.15 and created a new Insight field, but it doesn’t show on Automation, so I'm afraid to say that it’s currently not supported on the Server version:

i'm trying to understand if i can recall from automation for jira (for jira datacenter) an insight object and its property (in particular an email attribute that i need to send an email from automation for jira). has anyone ever had this need and solved it ? I'm looking for information and examples for some time and it is really s a d to see that two products that are in fact Atlassian are so poorly and confusingly documented.

I'm working on a video tutorial on how to do this. I will share it here when it's done.
