We'd like to build an app that pulls information out of Jira, but I don't want to create an app, I am not sure if that's possible or not, but I will talk a bit about the use-case, hoping to get the best solution for our case.
The app would ask the user to authenticate with Jira (something similar to 3LO permissions page) and then I'd be able to directly pull out issues from the user's jira site, the idea is not to force the user to go through the hassle of installing an app or missing with their board configuration to use such a simple app.
For clarity, I am referring to Jira Cloud (although it would be nice if the solution could be applied for both or have a similar solution that we can toggle to if we detected a jira server installation), on both private and public projects.
