Dear Team,

Can you tell me the Maintenance life cycle of JIRA DATA Center version.

Like when and all we need to do Maintenance what are the things we need to take care of it.

what are the metrics we need to see.

It really depends on what your policies are.  You will need to update data center and will need a policy that dictates when you do this.  Will you only update on long term support releases or more often?

How often will you update apps?  How will you test and validate updates?  These are things you will need to take into consideration.

You also need to monitor performance and do system maintenance.  You need to determine when this will occur and how often.

For example we have a production and test instance.  We only do long term releases unless there is a security issue and we have to upgrade sooner.  

We update in test then production.  We update apps twice a month and do the update in test before production.

We do maintenance every week.  We monitor logs, server performance, growth, db performance, etc.  We use recommendations provided by Atlassian and make adjustments as needed to ensure everything runs well.
