Issues assigned to Epic don't appear in Backlog

Grzegorz Harmas

I have 2 issues when setting up Scrum board.

1) Tasks assigned to the Epics don't appear in Backlog of my scrum board. The board is set up as personal and uses a filter to display issues from a Next-Gen project.

When the Epic is selected, the tasks are visible in the details.

The filter is set correctly and all issues are visible in the search and statuses also mapped to the columns.

It looks like a bug, similar to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17902

Now I noticed that if the task is removed from the Epic and then re-asigned while in the Backlog view (Change Parent Issue -> Unassign -> refresh -> Change Parent Issue -> Assign to Epic) it starts appearing underneath the Epic and can be assigned individually to the Sprint.

Page refresh makes it disappear again.

2) Tasks appear to be assigned to the Sprint, but then drop out (move the issue to the Sprint in Backlog -> confirm -> "Selection successfully moved" -> go to Active Sprints -> see nothing).

The Next Gen project has Backlog and Sprints disabled at the moment.

I was having the same issue until I found that I needed to move the Tasks forward in the flow. From the Epic, moved them from Backlog to Sprints -> Tasks To Complete, and afterwards I was able to pick them for my sprints from the Backlog.

Hope that helps.

Did anyone found a fix for this? I have the exact same problem and cannot find solutions anywhere.
