Issues and Tasks in the same Backlog

Hi Guys,

I would like to know your ideas on followings,

1. Can we maintain issues and tasks (functions to be developed) in the same backlog

2. If not what is the most efficient way of handling both issues and tasks?

Thank you.

A backlog is a list of "issues" or "items" that need some attention.

It does not matter what you call the items - issue, task, job, work, ticket (although that is a really bad use of the word), thingy, work-order, penguin, etc.  So Jira does not worry about the names either.
