Is there a way to not overwrite the original dates while using auto-scheduling in roadmaps?

While roadmaps has been very helpfull, there is something I was wondering about them. When a PM uses the auto-scheduling tool in roadmaps, sometimes the version dates can change and he can save those changes. Is there any way to see the version dates before changes? I don´t know how to do a follow up on the proyect if the dates can change without notification.
