There are two boards in my Jira project. I would like to hide 1 of them from a certain set of users (say customers).
Is this feasible in jira cloud?
Hi @Nivedita
Boards are visual representations of filters - so you can modify the filter permissions which will in turn restrict access to the board.
You'll need to be a Board Admin and the owner of the filter - then:
^ As part of this, I would advise considering how you limit the view of issues. For example, hiding a board does not hide the project's issues from a user, these are controlled with project permissions.
If the aim is to hide both issues and boards, you might need to consider restricting who can access each project via permissions first - and then you could use project accessibility as the filter sharing on your board!
Let us know if you need any further help with project permissions :)

The below article don't explain visibility of a KANBAN. Only if it can be used. I mean, it will still show in the list of boards for the project, if the related filter is not visible for the user?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I also tried hiding some KANBAN boards, by giving no permission to anyone ("No shares"). And the KANBAN boards still show up in other users KANBAN board list. :-(
It was inconsistent, however. Some boards got hidden, some didn't from this other user.
This other user was not admin of that board either.

This other user is administrator for this project. Maybe that's why that user sees these Filters/Boards?!

Hi @Nivedita ,
Please refer to this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/agile/jira-agile-resources/jira-agile-faq/how-to-restrict-the-access-to-jira-agile-scrum-board that explains how to restrict the access to JIRA Agile Scrum\kanban board.
Hope it helps!
Thanks,
Reshma
