Hello Satish @Satish Putnala ,

Power BI Connector for Jira Cloud allows exporting Jira Assets data.

The following tables are available for export:

Hello Satish @Satish Putnala ,

A Jira API token should be added under the Tokens tab to export certain tables from Jira.

Please follow this guide to set up Insight tables export: https://aserve.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PBCFJC/pages/2346352641/How+to+export+Jira+data+requiring+Jira+API+Token

Please let me know if this helps.

Luba

Hi Luba,

Thanks for reply, but unfortunately it does not be helpful. As I already have Token generated and in use.

Q1: To be able to get Assets when i try to Create a Data Source rom Power BI connector, what kind of access privileges we need from JIRA side?

Q2: Our end goal is to get Assets tables by creating a data source NOT from JIRA API, so that we consume the assets tables in Power BI.

Q3: The below help links you are sending are not accessible, it says "doesn't have access to Confluence on aserve.atlassian.net."

Ex: Please follow this guide to set up Insight tables export:

Thanks

Hello Satish @Satish Putnala ,

Let me answer your questions.

Q1: To be able to get Assets when i try to Create a Data Source rom Power BI connector, what kind of access privileges we need from JIRA side?

Answer: you should have application access to the Jira Service Management Premium plan. From the screenshot you provided, I see that you have application access to Jira Service Management. If you have a Premium plan on your Jira, by adding a Jira API token under the Tokens tab you'll get additional tab Assets under the Data Source configuration page:

Q2: Our end goal is to get Assets tables by creating a data source NOT from JIRA API, so that we consume the assets tables in Power BI.

Answer: After adding Jira API Token under the Tokens tab, you'll be able to select the following tables and pull them into the Power BI Desktop

Q3: The below help links you are sending are not accessible, it says "doesn't have access to Confluence on aserve.atlassian.net."

Answer: it looks like you are trying to access the Confluence page as an internal user. Since you are not an internal user, it responds to you with a forbidden error. Please try to view the documentation from an incognito window and let us know if this is the case.

Luba

Hello @Srinivsarao Mutyam ,

Usually, the app is automatically updated. Occasionally we release updates that require manual updates, but you'll see the informational message about a required manual update in the interface.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Hi @Srinivsarao Mutyam welcome to the Atlassian Community!

My initial thought is that this would all happen automatically in Cloud. However, upon checking on my own site, I noticed 1 installed app that had an update pending.

The best way to get confirmation is to get in touch directly with the marketplace partner.
