We are using Jira for various workflows related to Software Development. We would like to add another workflow which is not about "Issues" but would still fit in Jira very well. We would like to change the label "Issues" into something else, e.g. "Ideas" or "Projects" for that particular Jira Project only. Is that possible? (To clarify: I am not referring to Issue Types and I also don't want to rename Issues globally, just for one project). See the screenshot
There's no way to do this the way you are suggesting. The word "issue" that you're seeing is, as you say, not an issue type, but actually part of the UI.
On server, you can actually change it, by writing your own "language pack" and get people to select that as their own language, but that isn't project related, it will affect everything the user - if you call the issues "spuds", you'll see "issues" and "open issues" in your screenshot as "spuds" and "open spuds" in every project, in searches, reports and the rest.
Nic, thank you for your reply; it confirms what I indeed expected.
