Import data to a LDAP Picker Custom Field

Renato Madisson March 21, 2024

Hi guys! LDAP Picker is a Scriptrunner Custom Field that we are trying to use in our environment.

We've managed to configure and use the field in cards, but we need to migrate data from another field to this one.

We've tryed using full name, username, even some notation for the distiguished name, but nothing works.

How can I possibly import data in a LDAP Picker field?

Hi there!

By "migrating" you mean that you are attempting to populate the LDAP Picker field from external data of some kind?

There might be ways to override that using the custom field configuration script, but I think by default, values are stored as "CN=cnvalueforuser"

So try to include the "CN=" in your string to set the values to.

Yeah, I'm trying to populate the field from a CSV file, using the Import External Project function.

We tryied usign CN=username but it did not work. :-(

After the import, the field shows this: "Error: no such entry with DN: CN=username"

We also tryied with the full distiguished name, but the result was the same.

In the configurarion, it's like this:

We tryied put cn, dn and other things in the 'Search attribute' field, but nothing works.
