I have created Teams in JIRA, but how to assign work to this team?

I have created Teams in JIRA, but how to assign work to this team?

I am unable to select the team name created to assign a Task/User story to this team. Please advise.

Hi Shailaja,

You cannot assign work to the team per se. Meaning, you can't put the team name in the assignee field and that's the only way to really assign work. 

However, you can add the Team field to your screen and place the team name there for visibility.

Then how the team/group can be effectively used in user stories/Issue  if it is only for display without any work assignment?
