I see a lot of articles and community posts describing a way to set specific Columns in my Filter view. I have saved a filter and I want to see the Sprint in the list of issues. I do not see a Column option anywhere. I have tried opening my saved filter and I see a list of issues with just a Sort and Refresh option but no Column option

Never mind. I found the Option under List View. I was in Detailed View and that View obviously cannot show multiple columns anyway. :-). Thanks for the answers but I think you should update the answer to include specifically that user should look at "List View" for newbies like me.

Welcome to the community @Vinoo S Warrier

Couple of questions:

  • Which project is this: company or team managed?
  • What is the filter query that you are using?

Are you referring to this?

Hi @Vinoo S Warrier

It seems like you're looking to add specific columns to your filter view in Jira, particularly to display the Sprint information alongside your list of issues. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you with that:

1. Open your Saved Filter: Navigate to your saved filter within Jira.

2. Configure Columns: In the filter view, look for a button or option labeled "Columns" or "Configure Columns." This option is usually located near the top-right corner of the issue list.

3. Select Columns to Display: Click on the "Columns" or "Configure Columns" button. This should open a menu where you can select which columns you want to display in your filter view.

4. Add Sprint Column: Within the column configuration menu, look for an option related to "Sprint" or "Sprint Name." Check the box next to it to add the Sprint column to your filter view.

5. Save Changes: After selecting the columns you want to display, look for a button or option to save your changes. This might be labeled as "Save," "Apply," or something similar.

6. View Filter with Sprint Column: Once you've saved your changes, go back to your filter view. You should now see the Sprint column displayed alongside your list of issues.

If you're unable to find the "Columns" or "Configure Columns" option, it's possible that your Jira instance might have customizations or restrictions in place that affect the visibility of this feature. In such cases, you may need to reach out to your Jira administrator for assistance in enabling or accessing the column configuration options.

Hope this can help.

Warm regards.
