How to save a project management project as template

Ferre Bynoe May 18, 2021

I have created a Project management project in Jira.

Is it possible to use this as a template for future projects?
I have different projects with the same task for every project.

Example: We want to open 10 stores in the upcoming year, with each store I want a seperate project with the same tasks, automatically assigned to the right people, with the same automation as the other 9 stores.

Hi Ferre - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

To use the template of the project for the shared schemes, when you create a new project base it on the existing project that is your template.

Then you can use Automation for Jira to auto create multiple tasks based on something that triggers it.

Hi @John Funk ,
Thanks for your post!

Now, your reply does not seem to give an answer to @Ferre Bynoe.

He (am me) want to know who to save our "own" template, for further use.

You create a project with has all of the schemes/configuration that you desire. Then for any new projects that you create, you create them based on the existing project that you created with the set of of desired schemes.
