How to reset the Scrum conter

Hello,

I am new to Jira and discovering the platform little by little. I would like to know if it is possible to reset the Scrum name to 0.

Let me explain, I created around ten tickets initially, I deleted them to recreate them in another way. But the count did not start from 1 but from 11, 12…

Is there a history to reset the counter to 0?

Thank you in advance for your attention to my question.

@SERMANE SOUMARE - each issue key (SCRUM-15, SCRUM-16, etc.) is a unique ID for each issue in Jira.

There's an old thread that might help you: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/How-to-reset-issue-counter-in-JSM-cloud/qaq-p/1586748

  • There are few issues in your project. You could make a new project, then move the issues into the new project. The count will be reset.

I wouldn't worry about the issue key/ID, it's not simple to have the IDs always be sequential in the way you prefer.

If the sequence of issues is important, I would try some or all of these strategies:

  • On the board, order the issues by dragging-and-dropping them in the order you prefer.
  • Use issue links to specify that an issue should be done (like "precedes" / "is preceded by")
  • Manually add your own ID in the issue's Summary field, like "001. Grille de stage".

@Dave Liao Thank you very much for all these suggestions. I will try to reproduce your recommendations and those of the other thread.

Yours sincerely,
