How to reduce email frequency in Jira Cloud?

Hey, my team is overwhelmed by noise from Jira emails.

In jira server i can change frequency described here by Batching email

How to do that in Cloud?

Sample: user commented on a issue and mentioned me, seconds later he assigned that task to me and then made many small changes like Estimates, labels, and some custom fields. I got 3 separate emails.

1. About a comment and mention

2. About Assignment

3. Bulk changes

I want a single email where i can see @mention and assignment and all small changes, especially if they all occured within 1 minute.

I dont mind getting a new email for a different task key but i wish to get all updates like on pic. 2.

How to achieve that on cloud?

Hi Alexey,

Are you a Watcher on the card? If so, that's probably the problem.

@John M Funkby default - yes, but my personal settings are set to not send any mails if I'm a watcher.

It might be the Notification scheme is overriding that though. Check the scheme to see who notifications are going to.

The best advice I can give you is to remove yourself as a Watcher on those issues.

@John M FunkI do want to receive notifications, I'm asking about email frequency. Users do not like to receive 15 emails about a single task.

That's what happens when you use the Watcher field. There are other ways to receive notifications less often - like using Automation for Jira, or modifying the Notification scheme for when notifications are sent.

Or you can create a dashboard that uses an Activity Stream gadget that will show all of the activity for you to view when you want, but it doesn't send emails.

Settings says i will not get any mails where I'm watcher. so that's something else.

Did you check the Notification scheme? It might be overriding it.
