How to import Jira Agile project

Reese Magers August 7, 2014

We have Jira Agile installed locally with ~60 projects or so. We're considering splitting out one of those projects into an Atlassian-cloud account. Is there support for exporting that one project from our local installation and importing into the cloud?

The targetted project is not using advanced features or fields (i.e., no custom workflows, etc.). What we want to maintain is the standard fields (status / description / comments / work log / story points etc.), prioritization, and sprint history.

I'm trying to determine whether this is feasible, or if it would involve having to manually recreate a lot of the content.

The current approach to import JIRA Agile data is only during a full JIRA restore. JIRA Project Importer has a limitation by design that doesn't import JIRA Agile information, as of now. We have an opened feature request (JRA-28748) for adding this functionality in JIRA Project Importer. KIndly vote on it for increase its priority with our developers.

Hi

Is there really no workaround for this like using the database directly or so?
