Hi, I want to create automation like if we add a request participant and then send a Slack message to a user.
But the "Request Participant" field is locked. I already associated it with the correct screen and project, but still not showing in the ticket.
Can you please suggest?

Hi @Shikha Verma , request participants is a system field and as such will remain locked. This cannot be changed. However, I don't believe that you need to unlock it. I need to better understand what your actual goal is here to see if I can assist further.

If your goal is to trigger the automation when a RP is added try using the field changed trigger component.

Thanks, @Jack Brickey, for getting back to me.
But my question is, if the user cannot see the field Request participant, how will they add someone to the ticket? And also, how will the automation start?

Hi @Shikha Verma , by default the request participant field should exist and likely is under the More list on your right hand side on the right hand side of your screen. If the field is not present, please go to project settings and then screens and find your specific screen for your request type. Edit the screen and add the request participants field.

Hi @Jack Brickey I already configured all the backend processes before, but still, the Request Participant field is not showing.

Oh, hang on. This is a Software project. Request participants is only applicable to JSM projects. If you want to add interested parties to a software project, you should use the watcher feature. By clicking on the eyeball in the upper right of an issue, you can add participants. The notifications to those participants/watchers is dictated by the notification scheme.
