How to get open source jira sofware for installation in local network?

Soumahoro Aboubakar July 13, 2021

I've in fact installed jira softwar on a local server but I'm asked to enter my licence key.

So, How can I get an open source jira version for installation in our entreprise local network?

Will I need a licence key to achieve the installation?

There's no difference between the software when you install open-source-support, academic or commercial Server versions.

It is just the licence that matters, and yes, you will need a licence for installation.

Atlassian are not licencing new Server installs any more, as the software is going away and they're encouraging new people to go to Cloud or DC now, rather than have to migrate when server dies.

I doubt you'll be large enough to be considering a DC licence for your OS project, so I would recommend a look at Cloud instead.  The OS licence (actually a subscription on Cloud) is detailed at https://www.atlassian.com/software/views/open-source-license-request
