How to delete an old sprint that has been closed?

Bar T April 6, 2019

We renamed a few sprints. The older sprints still show the old names and this is causing confusion as they show up in the dashboard.

Is there a way to rename or remove old sprints that have been closed?

I cannot bulk update to "replace" the another sprint value becuse some of the tickets have multiple sprint values (carry over).

Hi Barbara

You can try this to delete the old sprint

Hope this helps!

Thanks! Secondary question - how do I change access to allow deleting old sprints? :)

Check the project permission "Manage sprint", you have to be careful because this permission scheme could be shared with other projects.

Here you can find more info about what this permission allows you: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0713/using-manage-sprints-permission-for-advanced-cases-964983441.html
