If you are not offered the option to create a Kanban project when you click "create project", then either

* You do are not set up as a Jira Software user (you may be a Jira Work Management and/or a Jira Service Management user, but not a Software user)

* You do not have Jira Software installed

Can you check if either of those is true?

Hello @Claire Marchand

For creating new project in Jira, you need Jira Administrator Global Permission. Please check if you have that Permission.

This is the Atlassian Provided Answer in the documentation.

To create a project:

  1. In the navigation, go to Projects > Create project.
  2. Choose a design template (Scrum or Kanban)
  3. View the template's comprehensive information and select Use template.
  4. Choose from two types of projects: company-managed and team-managed.
Make a name for your project.
  5. Change the template for your service project by clicking Change template.
  6. Select Create..

Mayur
