How to assign issues created by mail handler to specific Iteration or Epic?


We are using JIRA Agile and JIRA Service Desk and we have configured an e-mail Handler in order to add new Issues. The problem is that we don't know if there are any Tip to automatically assign this task to an specific iteration or Epic (like put #Epic1 in subject for instance).

Is it possible in some way?

Hey there,

should be possible with the ScriptRunner Plugin.
You can create a scripted postfunction in your workflow - in the Create Step you have to define a value for a customfield or the epic itself and set the value for what you want.

Incoming Mail creates Issue.
In the post function of this issue is the scripted post function which write your values from the mail.

Hope this can help.


Thanks but we are using Cloud version of JIRA and this plugin isn't available for our version.
