How to add issues in middle of backlog

When using Company managed Jira (not next gen), the + icon to create new issue is all the way at the end of the backlog, however when you have a prioritized backlog, that means you have to create you ticket then move it across 100s of tickets where you wanted it. In Next Gen, the + icon was available in middle of tickets so the backlog can always stay prioritized and tickets be created where they needed not at the end and then move. Is there an option to enable that for Jira company managed version as well?

We have the opposite problem and want to disable this.

When we hit the Navbar Create button in Backlog view, the issue was simply dropped in the middle of the backlog. I guess under the last opened issue or in the middle of the viewport.

We want them to always be added at the top or bottom, as long as it's consistent. Any ideas?

Hi @Sanaz Hajizadeh

Interesting enough to know that it is not possible as of now in Jira cloud

There are feature requests for Jira server though, hope they will have feature in ☁️ as well
