How do you include a markdown link in JIRA Cloud Issue description field in new Issue UI?

Used to be able to include markdown link with the following notation. [Test|test.com]. This no longer works since they removed wiki rendering from fields.

I have been trying this on a Message(Edit) custom field, and this is what worked for me:

[Atlassian|http://atlassian.com]

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

When creating a ticket, it will show the markup editor, but you can use [Test|test.com] that it will render correctly when viewing the ticket using the new UI.

If you need to add a link directly in the new UI, you can you [Test](test.com) which is the format for markdown.

If that's not the case, please let us know more details about where you need to add links, if possible send us a screenshot of where it's not rendering correctly.
