How do I enable due date for an issue? Edited

It is not very clear how one sets a due date for an issue. I found the documentation unhelpful. Please is there a clear way to set due date?

(I am the jira adminstration for my projects)

Hi,

the due date is a standard system field. You should find it, if you edit an issue. 

If it is not visible, you have to look at your field configuration or your screen scheme. Maybe the field was removed from your edit screen or completely from your project.
