How do I create an automation rule to prevent transition for linked issues?

I have a problem, when linked issues change their statuses automatically. 

All I want is to prevent a status transition of linked issues.

Does anyone have an idea how to create that rule?

How are the linked issues being transitioned automatically now? Is it through an automation rule? A workflow transition post-function? Some other way?

Do you want to ALWAYS prevent this status transition, or is it only some of the time?

For now we do not have any rules set up by us. So it seems those rules coming from the box. At least I can not see any in the automation tab. 
for now I would prefer to get rid of any transition for linked issues, cause it is more devastating than helpful. 
btw, that annoying transition appeared automatically around half a year ago. 
before that jira was not that strict :)
