How do I assign a Component to an Issue after the Issue is created?

There are several (19) Issues without a Component. How do I assign a Component to an Issue after the Issue is created.

There are two ways you can do this. You can simply click on the component field and enter your component. Or you could do a bulk edit assuming you have permissions to do so by just running a JQL filter to find the ones missing a component and then clicking on the… And selecting bulk edit

Hi @James Fox welcome to the Atlassian community.

Please be informed in order to bulk add a single component name to all the 19 Jira issues, you need to have a Jira admin rights. Please check this managing components section for helpful details.

Alternatively, if your Jira project is already enabled with component field, then you may open the issue and manually add the component field located on the right side pane.
