Once a Structure is created, how can the JQL be viewed?

Hello, John. Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

The automation feature in Structure includes a feature that lets you easily hide (or reveal) the automation rules that are used to build a structure.

Simply click on the "Automation" button to reveal/hide the rules.

Assuming you have permission to do so you may edit or see the JQL (and other details) used in the rules: Simply select that row in your structure and double-click.

Hope this helps.

If a structure was not built with the Automation tool, could the JQL still be shown even if the structure was built manually?

Hi, John.  Thanks for that feedback.

In that case, can you be a little more specific then about the JQL you are trying to find/see? Perhaps you could include a screenshot?

Hello Dave!

I have the same issue that John has. I created a structure with jql and i want to find that jql, because only epic and task issuetypes are shown in the structure, so i want to check how i wrote the jql initially. (if you have any solution in mind how to appear other issuetypes, that is more than welcomed :) ). i use an old version, jira 7.1.10 and structure  3.5.1

many thanks!

Welcome to the community, @Zsombor Erdész  👋

I'm afraid I no longer have access to the older versions on on-prem Jira and Structure to validate things for you. But you should be able to "unhide" the generators (and their JQL) and the documentation doesn't go back that far.

Your best bet would be to reach out the Structure support team.

Good luck,

-dave
