How can I set the "Request type" on an issue created from Jra

I have two automations set up to schedule changes in the Change Calendar on a JSM project. Those automation are:

  1. From a Jira story, create an issue on the JSM side with populated fields - Actual date, Actual end, etc.
  2. On the JSM side, edit the newly created issue to set the "request type" on the issue.

The second automation fails with an error:

Field 'customfield_10148' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown. (customfield_10148).

When I look at the custom field (id 10148), it is the "Request type" field. The way I interpret the error is the "Request type" has to be part of the screen that the automation relies on, but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is resolved. It turns out there was a conflict with an old custom field named "Request type" that was causing the automation to fail because it couldn't locate the proper system field called "Request Type."

@Ryon Riley,

Are you creating the change request in the JSM project?

Thanks,

Kian

@Kian Stack Mumo Systems The first automation (in Jira) creates the issue (change request) in the JSM project, yes. I blanked out the name of the JSM project for privacy.
