How can I make the resolution field required when closing an issue?

This is somewhat related to my last question but in order to make sure issues w/o resolutions dont get closed, is it possible to make it required? There doesnt seem to be a way to put a validator on there w/o a third party plugin...

If you add the resolution to the screen, you will be forced to chose one (or the default) because there is no "none" option.

Sweet. I just created a screen with only the resolution field and have that as the transition screen for the workflow.
