Is there a way to add a field to the configuration but not display it on the issue types for the user to see or enter?

I am asking because e are trying to integrate with jira align and do not want story points on kanban issues or on spikes but it is a required field in align.

Has anyone else using jira and jira align found this issue? How did you work around it?

If you have a field in a configuration, you should be able to remove it from the "Create/Edit/View" screens for those issue types in your project.

You may need to build these screens specifically if you are using the default screen schemes for your issues in your project. You can find this in the "Issue Type Screen Schemes" section of Issues Settings.
