Field "priority" not visible in the new issue view

I am unable to view the "Priority" field in a new issue view. 

I have confirmed on the Issue Layout page that the field should be in the "Context" section and is not hidden. In the Configure Screen view (Issues), I see a "Priority" field. I also see priority levels listed under the "Priorities" option.

Hi Kimberly - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What type of project are you using? Team-managed? Company-managed? Jira Work Management? 

Have you checked the Field Configuration to make sure it is not hidden there?
