Email notifications in jira on demand what happened?

So what gives I used to be able to turn off Jira notifications a while back and now I can't. I have users who can't turn off notifications for themselves for particular boards or issues they are not attached to watch etc.

The company I work for has one major project with multiple products in one backlog. 

These products have their own sprint backlogs and own boards. Users are getting emails for issues they do not watch or attached to probably because they are using the same  notification scheme. You used to be able to turn off notifications for a user now you can't any suggestions.

Hi @Dan 

I am not sure what changed in your case however, I’ll look at the notification received and compare it to the notification scheme to make sure the use is not meant to receive a notification.

Thos to me is a better solution as users should not receive notifications they are not meant to.

Consider adjusting the notification scheme.
