Does installing plugin needs backup, shutdown and restart?

Hi,

I want to install qtest connector for jira using marketplace. Can anyone help me on what are the steps that are to be performed before and after plugin installation?

Only apps that require external libraries to be installed, or are replacing bits of the main application, need a restart.  There's only a tiny handful of these in the marketplace, and they all have detailed explanations of why a restart is needed in their installation instructions there, and you'll find they're not directly installable from the marketplace.

So, no.  Just install it.
