Display Epic Color on Board

Is there a way in the new UI to display the Epic colors on the Board view like we used to be able to? We use the colors to keep things organized and without them, the Board view is a lot less helpful, and the Epic colors don't really matter if you can't see them side-by-side other Epics. I clicked "Card Details" > "Epic" but am not seeing the colors (screenshot below).

Are the issues on your board associated with an epic? If they are then the epic and the color should be shown on the board, but if they are not linked to an epic there is no color.

In my account everything is associated to an epic.
When I'm looking at it as tasks in an active sprint, I see the name and color. But when looking as Kanban, it's gone.

The board in the above screenshot is all Epics, not Issues. We only use colors on Epics.

Okay, so the epic color is only displayed on issues that are associated with them. If you adding the issue color as a field to the card it will only show the text, not the actual color.

A workaround would be to set up card colors under board settings and use the issue color in the query, that would change the boarder of the card like this:

Thank you, @Mikael Sandberg! That worked. It's unfortunate it changed so that the Epic name doesn't show up in the color like it used to; it was a lot nicer to look at.

Hi @Jaclyn Costik ,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

As i can see you did not select the epic colour in the issue.

Please find the below link related to same quries

Regards,

Sanjen

@Sanjen Bariki All the Epics have colors assigned to them; the colors were assigned when the Epics were created and were showing fine on the old UX. They are not showing on the Board at all in the new version.

The colors are assigned based on the alphabet (i.e. A-C are yellow, D-F are red, etc.). They aren't based on issue type because they are only assigned at the Epic level to keep our Board organized, and Epics aren't assigned to anyone, so that option isn't helpful either. Do you have a recommended query that could show the Epic color without filtering the Board?

Hi @Jaclyn Costik ,

Normally, Once you enable the Epic colour button then it will show the colour in the board But its not showing.  Need board access to check from user end.

Kindly raise a support ticket to Atlassian team resolve it.

Regards,

Sanjen

Hi @Sanjen Bariki I tried to put in a ticket through that link and it isn't giving me the option to submit; it's just giving me CTAs to documentation and the community forum.
