Default Request Type not applied

Niels Verbeeck March 28, 2024

Hi,

I've set a default request type for a certain issue type scheme. (Task)
When I go into a project and want to create a task, "incident" shows first.
The dropdown keeps showing alphabetically. We're logging a lot of incidents like this...

Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

Niels

Hi @Niels Verbeeck , thanks for your question.

If you are talking about a Jira Service Management project, you can specify a default issue type, but not the request type. Please can you check the configuration of the issue type scheme -

If might be that in your case, the issue type of Task is mapped to the Request Type of Incident. You should be able to modify this in the Request Type settings here -

Please give us your feedback if this helps.
