Creation of issues fails in company driven project setup with Android Jira app

I've recently setup a free Company driven project in Jira and, using Jira Android app, creation of issues fails in the respective project. I can see issues I've created from desktop, and I can edit them, though I'm unable to create new issues (insufficient permissions). 

 

I'm using the same account on desktop and mobile. Am I missing something?

 

Edit: note that there was a previous project that, with the mobile app, I could've created issues in, though I deleted it in the favor of the new (and latest) one with which I'm encountering the issue described above

It seems that logging out and logging back in solves the issue.
