Count or Sum of Custom Field

Esther Kim

I have a custom field called customer. This field can have multiple entries.

I need a way to find out how many entries are associated with a JIRA ticket. Ideally I want to see how many JIRA issues have the highest # of entries for this custom field called customer so I can see which JIRA Issues have the most associated customer entries tagged with it.

Has Jira come out with a solution for this?

Getting a count of the number of customers impacted is critical in determining the urgency.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, eazyBI can make the accumulation for custom field. You can try the Jira plug-in eazyBI

Same question ... is there a built in solution for this?

Hi Esther,

Unfortunately that is not possible. JIRA does not have a field option for calculations (see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-30907).

I think that the best workaround for this would be to use the Voting system. smile

 Hope this helps!

Cheers!
