Configure Roadmap to use an alternative end date rather than due date.

andrew.edwards June 21, 2021

Hi, I enjoy using Jira roadmap, its colourful and has good drag and drop features.  I have noticed that it uses a set of date fields that i didn't expect it to.  It appears to use 'start date' and 'due date'  by default, somehow poor old 'end date' is not considered worthy to be used.

Is their a way of configuring roadmap within Jira to drive those colourful rectangles using 'start date' and 'end date' ?  NOT 'due date'

My organisation uses Bigpicture and it uses start and end dates, so its a better fit with our organisation view of dates and I want Jira roadmap to align with our organisation view.

Hi @andrew.edwards

This is something that you can change, here's how:

  1. Click the "gear" icon, which is beside the Plan name
  2. Go to Configure
  3. Go to the "Dates" section
  4. Click the drop down for "Due date "
  5. Change to "End date"

Hope this helps.
