Hi
I want to create a issue type called "Feature".
The hierarchy would be:
1. Epic, 2. Feature, 3. User story, 4. Task, 5. Bug
Is it possible to change the standard child issue on my self made issue type "Feature" from "Sub-task" to "User story", as I like to work with projects that have multiple features instead of having many epics.
Can this be done?
Thank you in advance
Best regards
Filip
Hi @fg and welcome to the Community!
That is currently not possible. Jira's standard issue hierarchy is Epic > Story (or other standard issue types) > sub-task.
On a premium plan, you can add additional levels above epic, but you can't insert issue types in between epics and other issue types.
Atlassian is currently working on new parent-child capabilities and flexible naming of Epics, which is supposed to bring this flexibility. You can follow the status of that work on the public roadmap - currently, this is expected for Q4 2023.
Hope this helps!
