Chage the selected date when inserting date via //

When using the // or /// to insert the date in a text box in Jira or Confluence, the interface pops the current date in a calendar view.  If <ENTER> is pressed the current date is inserted into the text box.  

The only apparent way to insert a date other than the current date is to use the mouse to pick the date.

I am looking for a way to navigate the popup calendar view to select an alternate date via the keyboard.  Is this possible?  If not is there an open feature request that I can upvote?

Hi @Scott R_ Morgan,

A first way to update the date without the mouse is just by typing the desired date in the text box at the top of the date picker dialog.

Also, on my Windows laptop, as you move the cursor into the day / month / year segment of the date in that text box (you can do that with the left and right keys on your keyboard) and then select the up / down keys, the next or previous day / month / year are selected.

I don't know what you are referring.  It sounds like you are taking about a date data field.

But you are right, in Jira that text box is not there.
