Hi all,
We have an automation in place that when all the development work on a ticket (ISSUE TYPE= Story) is done, a UAT ticket is created (ISSUE TYPE- Uat Developement)
What we need to do is add a field ( assuming a custom field) to the Story issue type that states the current status of its linked ticket.
Would you know the best approach on this?
Thanks!
Hello @Siobhan Wallace
You could add a custom Text field and use Automation to copy to it the display name of the Status of the linked issue. The Automation Rule would need to be triggered by the Transition of the UAT issue.
Are the Story and UAT issue in the same project or different projects? If they are in different projects then you would need a Global Automation rules so that you could set the scope to include both projects.
