I have a very specific use case where the stories will be dropped from current sprint to backlog when they are transitioned to a specific status in workflow. And when any story is dropped from sprint, we use a custom field in transition screen which captures the "Drop-reason".
Now, I want to develop a report which has a sprint-wise report where it shows how many stories are dropped from that sprint & the "Drop-Reason" for them.
The primary need here is to some how capture the previous sprint data. I tried using a text field which copies the sprint value when ever the story is transitioned to the specific status. But couldn't use the custom field value in reporting. And also if I try using a drop down field, couldn't update the drop down field value.
Can anybody suggest a workaround for this use case please.
