Automate adding a value in the component field based on the piked value from custom field?

Hi all!

This is my first question ever here and hopefully I’ll get an answer for my issue 😊

I need to automate adding/updating the components field value based on the picked value from the custom field select list  (multiple choice). 
e.g. in my select list there are 2 options (Dev and Ope) if the user picks Dev then, a Dev word will be added to the component field. That easy 😊

You can easily do this using automation. In your case your rule would be something like this:
