Attachment file restrictions

Does Jira have any attachment restrictions other than file size?

Some of our users can not add certain files. In one such case, the file (pdf format) contained links, this leads me to believe that Jira might have some restrictions for files.

The user in question has the needed permissions to add attachments and has done so before.

Also, it is interesting that us Admins can add those same files without any problems, meaning that maybe those restrictions (if they exist) do not apply to Admins.

Any ideas what could be the problem or what should I check?

Hi @Danilo Simic ,

In Jira by default there is not restriction as such where you can restrict user from adding the specific type of attachment. either he can add the attachment or not using project permission.

Check whether you are using any third party plugin for restriction

if not then ask user to clear browser cache and try.

Hello Sachin, thank you for the answer.

No plugins are being used.

I will investigate further, it might be user error since the problem is always coming from the same team.
