Assigning Sprint while editing a ticket

Jon Palmer September 18, 2012

In the old classic board we used Versions to group tickets into Sprints. GreenHopper 6 introduced the Sprint field which is primarily edited via Drag and Drof in the Rapid board.

However, just using drag and drop isn't powerful enough we'd like the ability to move tickets between sprint by including a 'Sprint' field in the edit ticket screen? Is that supported and if so how?

Hi Jon,

To achieve that, you need to add the Sprint field to the edit issue screen.

Hello Jon,

Yes, it is supported. You just need to add the "Sprint" field to the Edit issue screen. With this, you'll be able to edit the Sprint value. Just please note that when editing the field, you'll need to fill it with the sprint ID, instead of the name (even though it displays the Sprint name). To discover which IDs belongs to the sprints, you can run the following query agains the database:

SELECT * FROM AO_60DB71_SPRINT

I hope it helps. :)

Cheers!

Are there plans to make that simpler by allowing an autocomplete of the sprint names not the ids?
