Hello,
We are planning to move from Asana to Jira. For this we are trying to migrate our existing projects from Asana using the CSV importer option in Jira. We proceeded with the importer but we are not able to see any of the tasks under the project we imported.
We don't want to take premium support plan unless we are sure we would be able to migrate cleanly from Asana to Jira.
Thanks
Shankar.S
Hello @Elijah Stownton
Here is an automated Asana to Jira migration service https://project-management.relokia.com/asana-to-jira-migration/

Hello Shankar,
I'd like to recommend you to automate this process instead of exporting data manually, so you won't lose any data. As far as I know, there are some third-party apps you can choose to migrate from Asana to Jira, for example, Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-asana-jira).

Hi Shankar, hello @Elijah Stownton
I'm glad that you've found a way to migrate from Asana to Jira.
Do you need to also integrate both tools?
As Getint.io, Atlassian Vendor, we have an app for both migration and integration of Asana, and Jira.
Without the need of exporting, and importing the CSV file.
With getint.io you can just map the types and fields (including custom fields, attachments, comments, statuses) - and move tasks/issues very fast. You can see all the logs to make sure you have everything executed as you planned.
Plus, you can install the app both as SaaS and on-premise.
Here is the link to the app - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223932/getint-jira-asana-integration-sync?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Hi Oz, I can't see any tickets from you. Can you write to me directly at jacek@getint.io? There are some issues with getting the license, looks like bugs on the marketplace.

Hi,
The issue was due to some messed up mapping during the migration. We didnt follow the documentation correctly with our first exported csv file from Asana and ended up mapping some random values which caused the problem. So it should work if you correctly map values according to the documentation

Hello @Shankar Subramaniam ,
Nice to hear this is not an issue for you anymore.
Can you kindly paste the solution in here (and accept your own answer once done) so that it could help other people facing the same issue in the future?
Cheers,
Dario

Hello @Shankar Subramaniam ,
If I understand correctly you are trying to import issues from CSV but this is not succeeding. Is this correct?
If this is correct, can you kindly let us know the following:
Cheers,
Dario
