Activity stream does not load and is blank

We have Atlassian Jira Project Management Software (v8.2.2) installed on a Centos 7 Linux server and suddenly our activity stream has stopped loading and is only blank.

We have already re-indexed, already restarted and still the error persists. We need a solution to this!

There's a couple of possible reasons that could be causing your activity Steam to stop loading. Please, check the following details to properly troubleshoot the problem:

1 - If you have enabled HSTS, the activity stream might not load as mentioned in the bug below:

- Activity Stream Gadget does not load when HSTS is enabled 

2 - If you are filtering your activity Stream by username, please check if the user is in mixed case or contains an underscore (e.g.: "john_doe"). If this is what you are facing, follow the resolution steps of the KB below:

- Activity stream is empty when filtered by username 

3 - Try to access JIRA using a different browser and in incognito mode, to make sure you are not being impacted by any extension as mentioned in this KB.

4 - The Activity Stream has a timeout of 10 seconds, which can be reached in case you have too much data to be loaded in your dashboard. Can you please check the Developer console of your browser if there are any errors returned? Please, provide us with any errors you were able to find.

5 - Is there any error returned in your atlassian-jira.log?
